Social media in the age of AI
The volume of AI-generated content on social media has reached a point where it’s visibly degrading the experience for ordinary users. Jack Dorsey’s response is to relaunch Vine.
Rebranded as
diVine, the platform launched in beta in November 2025, bringing back over 100,000 videos from the original archive. Its defining rule: no AI-generated content, at all.
It’s a pointed statement. Whether diVine grows into something significant or not, it signals something worth paying attention to: there is appetite, perhaps growing appetite, for spaces online that users can actually trust. The question is whether one platform’s stance marks the beginning of a wider correction, or simply a niche alternative for those already disillusioned.
We think it’s worth watching.
